My aunt Doris passed away last summer aged 88. COVID restrictions meant few mourners so the family decided to wait for the interment of her ashes before having a family get together. Since I live closest to the family grave in Bloxwich cemetery it fell to me to organise the interment and the wake. Walsh’s Funeral Services helped with the actual interment which went well.

With family coming from Lincoln, Oxford, Telford and more local areas I wanted somewhere special for us to gather after leaving the cemetery. Although never having been there, I thought Bloxwich Golf Club might fit the bill. How right I was.

The club Secretary, Steph, assured me that on our special day the restaurant would be available and immediately provided a buffet menu that met all the requirements of our group. The buffet was superb with hot and cold choices and the deserts were really special (the lemon cheesecake being my favourite).

Everyone who attended thanked me for my choice of venue. Special mention must be made of Reece, behind the bar, and Mia who looked after the buffet. They were a credit to the club.
